Picnic Ideas in Northern Tennessee

Almost everyone who travels knows of the many choices of activities to do near the Smokey Mountains including Gatlinburg area. Just a bit north of Gatlinburg is Greeneville, TN which has notable history. President Andrew Johnson began his political career in this town. He lived in Greeneville a lot of his adult life here.

One point I'd like to add, there would be no fear of bears in the area. You might see some wild turkey in the afternoon, a bunny hopping across your path or a deer in the morning.
